AQILAH ORETH

Aqilah Oreth has good academic potential with a positive work attitude. Mature in thought and actions, as well as open to other views, Aqilah won the hearts of both teachers and her peers. She is able to act independently and commands the respect of her peers. Reliable and responsible, she demonstrates decisive leadership ability and is able to delegate tasks appropriately.

As the president of Christ Church Secondary School’s Modern Dance Club, she takes pride in her executing her duties. Aqilah does not hesitate to seek clarification where necessary and ensures that the information she gets is flawless. She is also a good team player and she ensures that leadership is not a one-man show.

Aqilah participated in the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Dances (2005 and 2007) in which the school won Bronze medals. She also performed in the school for numerous school functions and events. Contributing to the school’s partnership with external organizations, she also participated in dance events like Ballet Under The Stars.

Aqilah is well versed in English Language, and is able to demonstrate this both in speech and in writing.

A highly sensible young girl, Aqilah is open to constructive criticism. She conducts herself well and is not affected by negative comments. She has the capacity to excel and is highly motivated towards things she wishes to achieve and gives her best in everything she does. Her outgoing and extrovert character enable her to acquire good interpersonal skills.

Aqilah has many fine traits that should put her in good stead. Given her pleasant personality and polished mannerisms, she should certainly do well in all her future endeavours. She has been a pleasure to teach and coach, and I am sure she is an asset to whichever organisation she is in.

Aqilah is a cheerful and pleasant pupil who displays a commendable degree of honesty and loyalty. She is able to communicate well with others and shows sensitivity in her actions towards the different races. She shows spontaneity in helping out her classmates and teachers at all times. She articulates well in English and is able to convey her ideas and thoughts clearly. She has an easygoing character which allows her to work in different teams and make valuable contribuition to her teams.

Her passion for the Arts is evident through her active participation in the Modern Dance Society. She also has interests in ballet and has done a public performance for the 'Ballet Under the Stars'. She is creative and artisitc in drawing and designing and her work made the classroom environment more attractive.

Aqilah is a responsible worker who takes pride in doing her assignments well. Her near work in all her assignments is to be credited for. She puts in consistent effort in achieving good results. She shares her knowledge with other classmates and is keen to learn new things. She is also prompt in completing her tasks. She is always eager to clear her doubts and keeps working towards her goal. Aqilah was awarded the national Edusave Scholarship in 2005 and 2006

Aqilah was an energetic member of the Modern Dance Society and served the society as the Chairperson from 2005 to 2007. She was a part of the Modern Dance team which achieved a bronze award in the SYF in 2005 and 2007. Aqilah also received a Silver award for NYAA in 2006 and the national EAGLES(achievement) in 2005 and EAGLES(Leadership) in 2006

She also takes part actively the school's annual fund-raising carnival, helping her class achieved targets set

Aqilah has a pleasant disposition with a reliable and helpful nature which will make her an asset to any orginization that she is part of.
